Dear friends of Watercolour Westport,

Removing the HST for everyone buying a new home in Ontario, makes a new home more attainable than ever.

Government rebates mean you get to keep more of your hard earned money.

If you have been waiting for the right time to buy, THIS IS IT!

To make a complicated calculation simpler….here are a couple of examples.

A home that was $699,900 has DROPPED IN PRICE by $59K

A home that was $899,900 has DROPPED IN PRICE by $82K

Ontario’s Homebuyer HST Rebate Now Offers:

  • Partial HST reduction on eligible homes priced $1,500,001 –$1,850,000 million*

  • Will use the home as your primary residence or long-term residential rental property
  • Have not previously claimed this rebate
  • Purchase agreement MUST be signed between April 1st, 2026 – March 31st, 2027

HOMEBUYERS NEED MORE.

EVERY NEW HOME IN ONTARIO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE HST REBATE SO, HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE RIGHT NEW HOME FOR YOU?

We want you to live better in a home designed for your comfort, sustainability for the environment, and in a place where you can thrive. Why invest in a newly built home that’s already obsolete? If a better option exists, why settle for minimum code standards and conventional suburban sprawl—even with a tax break? Click here to learn more about what Net Zero Ready homes in Watercolour are all about.

Recently, we hosted booths at the Ottawa Home and Garden Show and the 55 Plus Lifestyle Show. We loved meeting so many people who are looking for their dream home and thinking about resilience, sustainability, and true community.

Many of them echo the same sentiments!

Our neighbourhood has changed so much, and we aren’t connected to people anymore.

The traffic where we live is such a big problem!

I don’t love my house anymore. It’s tired, old, and I don’t want to do the work to fix it.
